SRCF LAN party registration: Michaelmas 2009

Last minute signups: there is still space for IF you sign up BEFORE 08:30. Registrations close at 08:30 on the day of the party.

If you wish to participate in the SRCF LAN party on 28th November 2009 please sign up below. Bear in mind that space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. We expect to be able to accommodate about 18. You will be told nearer the time whether or not there is space for you.

You will need to bring your own computer to the party; we will not be providing computers for you to use this time (although peripheral hardware such as monitors, keyboards, mice and cables has been generously made available to borrow by Trinity Hall; make sure to indicate on the form if you want to take advantage of this). So that we can register your PC on the LAN party network, you should provide your MAC address. If you're not sure how to do that, please see our MAC address instructions.

If you need help with any of this, please contact lanparties-support@srcf.ucam.org.

If you want more information about the LAN party or want to suggest games or see the list of games already suggested, please see the wiki page.

Conditions of participation

By signing up for the Michaelmas 2009 SRCF LAN party, you agree to the following conditions:

  1. You must bring one computer which has the MAC address you specify when signing up, and any necessary peripherals (aside from those which you have applied to borrow).
  2. You must endeavour not to cause any damage to the venue or to any equipment not owned by you. You will be held responsible for any damage you do cause, and must pay any costs arising, which may be significant.
  3. Use of the network connection provided at the LAN party is subject to the rules made by the ISSS. You are responsible for any network traffic generated by your computer. You must have an up-to-date virus scanner installed and running if your computer runs Windows.
  4. If you borrow any hardware from Trinity Hall, the following additional conditions apply:
    1. You must apply in advance for the specific hardware you wish to borrow.
    2. You must fill out paperwork on the day to say you've accepted Trinity Hall's additional terms and that you take responsibility for damage to the hardware.
    3. The loan costs you GBP 1 for the day.
    4. You must hand in a deposit cheque (GBP 150 for a monitor, or lesser amounts for other hardware); this will only be cashed if the hardware is damaged. You must therefore bring a cheque book.
    5. If you do not have a chequebook you must bring photographic ID and a photocopy of your photographic ID. You'll need to sign a form accepting responsibility for full replacement costs of the loan equipment if it is damaged.
